About
New apps and tools show up faster than anyone can reasonably test them, and most coverage either repeats the marketing copy or buries the one detail that actually matters under a pile of features nobody asked about. This site exists to cut through that: honest, hands-on looks at the software and tools genuinely worth your attention.
Every piece starts from a practical question — does this tool actually solve the problem it claims to, what's the catch that isn't in the description, is it worth switching from what you already use.
We don't cover everything that launches. Coverage here favors tools with real staying power.
New material is added regularly under Interesting Apps.
About the author
I spent most of my career testing software before recommending it to anyone else. My name is Maya Ellison. I write hands-on reviews and practical breakdowns of apps and tools.
I stay skeptical of hype and I'm upfront when I haven't used something long enough to have a strong opinion yet.
